How We Measure the Time Window
The countdown is based on your scheduled pick-up time at the local time of the pick-up location.
We consider the latest submitted cancellation timestamp (via Manage Booking/app/chat/email) for eligibility.
Partner Group A — Alamo, National, Enterprise
48 hours or more before pick-up: No fee.
More than 1 hour but less than 48 hours before pick-up: 50% of the total or $65 USD, whichever is greater.
If your Bookings total is below $65 USD, the full amount will be charged as the penalty.
1 hour or less before pick-up or after the scheduled start: 100% of the total (no exceptions).
Examples
48 hours or more before pick-up: Total $80 → penalty 0%
More than 1 hour but less than 48 hours before pick-up: Total $80 → penalty 50% = $40; $65 is greater = penalty $65. OR Total $50 → below $65 → penalty $50 (full amount).
1 hour or less before pick-up or after the scheduled start: 100% penalty.
Partner Group B — All Other Partners
48 hours or more before pick-up: No fee.
Less than 48 hours before pick-up: 50% of the total.
After the scheduled start or no-show: 100% of the total (no exceptions).
Examples
Total $300, canceled 24 hours before pick-up → penalty $150.
No-show → 100%.
How to Cancel (Step-by-Step)
Open your Hola Car Rentals App.
Go to "My Bookings".
Click the three dots on your booking
Click Cancel reservation and follow the steps on screen.
You’ll receive a cancellation email with the outcome.
Refunds (when applicable) are issued to your original payment method; bank/issuer timelines vary (often 7–10 business days after processing).
Important Notes & Limits
No exceptions: the ≤ 1 hour and no-show cases are always 100%.
Edits vs cancellations: changes (dates/times/locations) may reprice the booking and can be treated as a new reservation subject to current availability and rules.
Proof of timing: keep your cancellation email; it shows the timestamp we use.
Short FAQ
If I booked less than 48 hours before pick-up, do I still get “free 48h cancellation”?
You can still cancel, but the actual time left to pick-up determines the rule (e.g., >1h and <48h or ≤1h).
What if the partner desk says something different?
Your Hola confirmation governs. If you’re charged incorrectly, our No Extra Charges© Coverage can step in to review and fix or reimburse after verification.
Can I reinstate my booking after canceling?
You’ll need to rebook at the current price and availability. (Prices and availability are not guaranteed).
